Keiretsu Forum to Host 2021 Investor Capital Expo

ATLANTA (November 8, 2021) -- Keiretsu Forum, a global investment community of accredited private equity angel investors, venture capitalists and corporate/institutional investors, today announced it will host its 2021 Virtual East Coast Investor Capital Expo, the premier gathering of the Investor Capital Community. During this year’s Expo, 24 companies will present to more than 2,000 attendees, fostering collaboration among angel groups, family offices, corporate partners, and the larger investment community.

“We are thrilled to continue the success of last year’s first-ever Virtual Investor Capital Expo with our 2021 event,” said Howard Lubert, Keiretsu Forum Mid-Atlantic and Southeast Regions Area President. “With more than 1,000 investors across three continents in 2020, we predict to see even more attendees interested in learning about and collaborating with the presenting growth-stage companies across various sectors. It’s our pleasure  to bring together the angel investment community in a virtual setting to continue the ecosystem growth that we’ve fostered for the last ten years.”

Held virtually via a customized event platform, the East Coast Expo will take place Wednesday, November 17 through Thursday, November 18. Attendance at the event is free and includes participation in both the West Coast and East Coast events. The agenda includes an exciting panel discussion with Keiretsu Forum portfolio alumni who have achieved significant milestones, company pitch presentations, and the Most Valued Company Award Competition.

Each presenting company has completed the rigorous Keiretsu Forum due diligence process and is actively seeking funding. The entrepreneurs will make live on-stage pitch presentations and be available for deep dive during their breakout session the day following.

“It’s exciting to see the investment community expand across the Southeast as industries continue to expand their footprint and launch exciting ventures in high-growth industries, like Life Sciences, which continues to see impressive investments spurred on by the pandemic,” explained Barry Etra, President of Keiretsu Forum Atlanta Chapter. “With this, it’s critical that we expand our investor network across the region to ensure that these well-positioned companies stay in the Southeast and continue to drive more funding and innovation. The Expo provides Southeast investors with the opportunity to hear from great companies in the region, like Soteria and Everix, that they would not normally see in other forums.”

Notably, in 2020, Keiretsu Forum's Mid-Atlantic (K4-MA) and South-East (K4-SE) Regions invested over $9.5 million in 32 companies, far exceeding the industry average of $4.7 million for the year as reported by the Angel Capital Association’s Angel Funders Report. The Atlanta Chapter was the most active in the Southeast region and saw growth of 100% in the 2020-2021 year.
